We're open for you. COVID-19 Update
We treat substance use, trauma, and mental health disorders in teens. We take into account a teenager's growing brain and tailor our treatment to consider a teen's unique social, physical and emotional development.
A teen will struggle with an emerging mental health issue and may self medicate with alcohol or marijuana without recognizing that it may be depression or anxiety. Since marijuana and alcohol both can trigger symptoms of depression and/or anxiety, it's also possible that those symptoms are related to drug use. That's why it's so important to have a program that treats both, so you can get to the root of the issue.

Often teens struggling with a mental health or behavioral disorders such as depression, anxiety, or personality disorders may use drugs and/or alcohol as a coping strategy to deal with painful emotions, trauma or family issues.
Once a teen begins to use substances they can become addicted. What was once a weekend or monthly experience can then give way to several times a week or even daily use. Given a teenager's growing brain and body, it's important to address the substance use early to prevent addiction.
