Build a stronger foundation and start living your best life.
Therapy Treatments
We deliver evidence-based therapy treatment for adults in a number of areas.
After our comprehensive assessment, we develop an individualized treatment plan to meet each client’s needs. Rather than emphasize why an individual comes to Sandstone Care, we focus on the path forward. We rely on our clinical framework to help each client discover their own values and beliefs, strengths, and passions.
MAT is a medical practice that helps you remain substance free when entering treatment and throughout recovery. It involves the use of prescription drugs designed to help ease the withdrawal process, maintain sobriety, and prevent relapse in recovery.
In group therapy, you’ll interact with people your own age who are experiencing the same struggles you are. You will build healthy friendships and see firsthand that you are not alone and you are not the only person who has struggled with mental health and substance use conditions.
We developed our evidence-based curriculum with the latest available research to address our clients’ deepest physical, mental, and emotional issues. It is our goal to reach the root of the substance use or addiction issue. We include the following therapies, assessments, and plans in our programs:
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy
Dialectical Behavioral Therapy
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy
Mindfulness
Somatic Symptom Assessment and Plan
Brain & Body Trauma Assessment and Plan
Weekly Organized Physical Activities
Nutritional Assessment and Plan
When an individual is struggling with both a mental health disorder and a substance use disorder, the two conditions are referred to as “co-occurring disorders,” or “dual diagnoses.” At Sandstone Care, we understand the importance of treating the whole person, which includes addressing co-occurring disorders concurrently with substance abuse and/or addiction.
Our commitment to our clients’ lasting success and recovery helps us continually exceed licensing standards of care throughout the industry.

Sandstone Care aims to drive positive lasting change in real people. We understand that you have a life, so we offer a more personal experience than you would find anywhere else.
We are age-specific, not gender-specific. We focus on the unique circumstances that teens and young adults face.
We only use treatment interventions that have been scientifically proven to provide consistent, lasting recovery.
You are not a number, that’s why we provide a comfortable setting where your voice can be heard.
No one person is the same, and neither is their recovery journey. Your treatment program will be tailored to your unique needs.
We want clients to get the most out of life, which means doing their best in the classroom or at their job.
Recovery involves the entire family, so we provide support for the whole family system.
Adult Specific Approach
Be seen. Be heard. Be valued.
We can’t change people. We can’t change families. But we can empower you with the tools, steps, and community you need for long-lasting change.
EBTs are scientifically-proven therapies that are guided by relevant data. Patient preferences are prioritized, which maximizes their options and adds flexibility to individual treatment plans. Evidence-based therapy is safe and consistent treatment, so your recovery is not left up to chance.
Some additional benefits include:
The American Psychological Association created the policies for EBT using the best research available. Their studies have shown that these therapy treatments work due to the combination of clinical training and science.
Our licensed clinical staff is trained in therapy treatments that are proven to be effective. This means they had to learn and follow certain guidelines for how they provide care.
Since these kinds of treatments are scientifically proven to be effective, the chances of relapse are less likely. This means you’ll be able to save more money in the long run.
EBT requires specialized training in the different kinds of therapies. Treatment options aren’t based on the therapist’s mood, they are backed by training and scientific results.
Dual Diagnosis Treatment
Addiction and mental health often go hand-in-hand. Work on both at Sandstone.
Often people struggling with drug and alcohol use also have underlying mental health or behavioral disorders such as depression, anxiety, or personality disorders. Our clinical team focuses on helping you identify and improve any underlying concerns, so you are fully prepared to address addiction from all directions.

Knowing what level of care would be best for you is tricky! If you experience withdrawal symptoms when you attempt to discontinue use, it is more than likely you would benefit from detox. However, the best way to know whether or not you would benefit from medical detox is to get a professional opinion. Our trained admissions team would be happy to speak with you and advise you on next steps.
Every person Sandstone Care treats is different. While some detox facilities have a set number of days and a detox protocol that is the same for everyone, we tailor our treatment to meet our clients where they are at. The average length of stay is 5-14 days. Some of the factors that impact length of stay are:
When you arrive to the Sandstone Care Detox & Inpatient Center, you will be greeted at the door by one of our staff members. A nurse and behavioral health technician will guide you through the admission and intake process which includes several assessments and initial evaluations. Then you will be shown to your bedroom and given some time to settle in and meet other staff and clients in the facility.
Yes. Upon admission, you will be evaluated by our medical team, which will determine what medications will be used to make your detox safe and comfortable.
During your stay at Sandstone Care Detox Center, clients will have access to their personal cell phones. However, clients will not have access to their personal laptops. These will be kept in our secure storage area for the duration of your stay.
No. We believe in starting with many privileges and only revoking access, if necessary, so we do not have a blackout period when you begin our program.
