Academic and Vocational Support
We want clients to get the most out of life, which means doing their best in the classroom or at their job.

Benefits of Evidence-Based Therapy

EBTs are scientifically proven therapies that are guided by relevant data. Patient preferences are prioritized, which maximizes their options and adds flexibility to individual treatment plans. Evidence-based therapy is safe and consistent treatment, but most importantly, your recovery is not left up to chance.

Some additional benefits include:

Lasting Results

The American Psychological Association created the policies for EBT using the best research available. Their studies have shown that these therapy treatments work due to the combination of clinical training and science.

Highest Quality Treatment

Our licensed clinical staff is trained in therapy treatments that are proven to be effective. This means they had to learn and follow certain guidelines for how they provide care.

Clinically Effective & Cost Effective

Since these kinds of treatments are scientifically proven to be effective, the chances of relapse are less likely. This means you’ll be able to save more money in the long run.

More Accountability for Therapists

EBT requires specialized training in the different kinds of therapies. Treatment options aren’t based on the therapist’s mood, they are backed by training and scientific results.

Treating Co-Occurring Mental Health Conditions

Not only are we experts in safe medical detox, but we also believe in treating the whole person and have staff who are trained in identifying and treating mental health problems along with the addiction.

Treating the whole person, includes addressing co-occurring disorders concurrently with substance abuse and/or addiction.

Because there can be an overlap in symptoms between drug use and mental health disorders, it’s very important to accurately assess and treat both challenges together.

If not treated this way, recovery can be much more difficult, as treatment may only be focusing on one half of the problem.

Knowing what level of care would be best for you is tricky! If you experience withdrawal symptoms when you attempt to discontinue use, it is more than likely you would benefit from detox. However, the best way to know whether or not you would benefit from medical detox is to get a professional opinion. Our trained admissions team would be happy to speak with you and advise you on next steps.

Every person Sandstone Care treats is different. While some detox facilities have a set number of days and a detox protocol that is the same for everyone, we tailor our treatment to meet our clients where they are at. The average length of stay is 5-14 days. Some of the factors that impact length of stay are:

  • What substances from which the client is detoxing
  • How long the client has been drinking or using drugs
  • The frequency that the client has been drinking or using drugs
  • Overall physical and mental health of the client
  • Underlying medical conditions

When you arrive to the Sandstone Care Detox & Inpatient Center, you will be greeted at the door by one of our staff members. A nurse and behavioral health technician will guide you through the admission and intake process which includes several assessments and initial evaluations. Then you will be shown to your bedroom and given some time to settle in and meet other staff and clients in the facility.

Yes. Upon admission, you will be evaluated by our medical team, which will determine what medications will be used to make your detox safe and comfortable.

During your stay at Sandstone Care Detox Center, clients will have access to their personal cell phones. However, clients will not have access to their personal laptops. These will be kept in our secure storage area for the duration of your stay.

No. We believe in starting with many privileges and only revoking access, if necessary, so we do not have a blackout period when you begin our program.
