We offer age-specific programs for teens (ages 13–17) and young adults (ages 18–30). For young adults participating in our Extended Care Program, we have a sober living residence for men, ages 18–30, and partner with local sober living programs to provide sober living for young adult women.
Yes. We have a teen track, which is for teens ages 13-17, and a young adult track for individuals ages 18-30.
There are many signs that getting help might be necessary. Some signs may include changes in friend groups, under-performing at school, running away, participating in illicit activities, engaging in risky behavior, or acts of self-harm.
The amount of treatment needed is very much dependent on each individual. A licensed clinician performs a comprehensive clinical assessment to understand the unique needs of each person to determine the level of care needed.
The assessment is the first step for all of our clients. The primary reason for the assessment is for us to get to know you and your situation so we can recommend the right program for you, whether that is at Sandstone Care or elsewhere. It is also a great time for you to get to know Sandstone Care as well.
Day Treatment and Intensive Outpatient levels of care typically last 60 – 90 days. Individuals then step down to our aftercare program (general outpatient) which can last up for up to 150 additional days (5 months).
Our outpatient mental health program is offered in Colorado, Maryland, Virginia, & Illinois. Browse locations to learn more about the staff and schedule.
Medication management can be an important part of the treatment process. If medication is recommended, our medication provider will see the client on a regular basis until an ongoing provider is established. If a client has an outside provider and they would like to continue to guide their medication during Sandstone IOP, a release will be required to ensure integrated care.
