Questions About Rehab Centers in Colorado

Our goal is to provide the most helpful information. Please reach out to us if you have any additional questions. We are here to help in any way we can.

Loved ones are integral to the well-being of those we assist. We provide bi-weekly individual family therapy sessions to explore how families contribute to the development of new, healthier behavioral patterns while addressing and altering previous behaviors that may have reinforced negative habits.

Building and maintaining connections are fundamental aspects of the recovery journey. Our dedicated case management team collaborates with you and your family to identify the most effective ways to nurture these connections. Additionally, our program includes weekly Multi-Family psychotherapy groups. These groups serve as a means to reinforce the newly acquired skills from group therapy sessions, offering a source of support and guidance throughout the rehabilitation process.

Currently, we do not accept Medicaid/Medicare. Reach out to our admissions coordinators who can help connect you with providers who do accept Medicaid/Medicare.

Cost depends on the location of the recovery center and insurance plans. We keep our treatment programs as affordable as possible while still maintaining the highest-quality healthcare possible. We are in-network with many insurance companies. Call our admissions team at 888-850-1890 or verify your insurance.

We offer age-specific programs for teens (ages 13–17) and young adults (ages 18–30). For young adults participating in our Extended Care Program, we have a transitional living programs for men, ages 18–30, and partner with local transitional living programs to provide sober living for young adult women. Our residential living programs are all located near our drug rehab centers and treatment facilities, so all residents will be able to have easy access to Sandstone’s health services.

Yes. We have a teen track, which is for teens ages 13-17, and a young adult track for individuals ages 18-30.

There are many signs that getting help might be necessary. Some signs may include changes in friend groups, under-performing at school, running away, participating in illicit activities, engaging in risky behavior, or acts of self-harm.

Some factors that may determine how much treatment you need are:

  • The severity of your drug addiction or alcohol addiction
  • What types of substances you depend on
  • If you struggle with any behavioral health issues
  • Whether or not you would benefit from a residential program
  • How long you have had a dependency on substances
  • Whether you have previously been involved with any other rehab programs or substance abuse treatment
  • If you have attended a 12-step program

The amount of treatment needed is very much dependent on each individual. A licensed clinician performs a comprehensive clinical assessment to understand the unique needs of each person to determine the level of care needed.

The assessment is the first step for all of our clients. The primary reason for the assessment is for us to get to know you and your situation so we can recommend the right program for you, whether that is an outpatient treatment program, or our inpatient rehab. It is also a great time for you to learn about Sandstone’s treatment services.

Day Treatment and Intensive Outpatient levels of care typically last 60 – 90 days. Individuals then step down to our aftercare program (general outpatient) which can last up for up to 150 additional days (5 months).

Our outpatient mental health program is offered in Colorado, Maryland, Virginia, & Illinois. Browse locations to learn more about the staff and schedule. We also have teen residential programs nestled in the Rocky Mountains of Aurora, Colorado, and in Maryland for those struggling with mental wellness and substance use.

Medication management can be an important part of the treatment process. If medication is recommended, our medication provider will see the client on a regular basis until an ongoing provider is established. If a client has an outside provider and they would like to continue to guide their medication during Sandstone inpatient programs, a release will be required to ensure integrated care.
