The Continuum of Care
Access a full range of treatments for mental health and substance use disorders. Whether you need a safe sober living community, inpatient care, or outpatient therapy, we have a program to help.
Young Adult Specific Approach
Be seen. Be heard. Be valued.
We can’t change people. We can’t change families. But we can empower you with the tools, steps, and community you need for long-lasting change.
Family Involvement
Mental health disorders affect the whole family.
We will involve your family at every stage of the treatment process. We won’t focus exclusively on you.
It’s vital that your family is involved in treatment to better understand what you’re going through, learn how they can support you, and for their own healing as well.
Your family will be held accountable to participate with family counselors and therapists as we work together to strengthen your foundations.
As treatment progresses, you’ll be ready each step of the way to connect outside of an individual therapy environment and join family and group therapies.
Daily Young Adult Mental Health Programming
As a young adult, you are at a pivotal time in your life. You can develop healthy habits, a strong work ethic, and an understanding of how to create and sustain positive relationships. Our programs support you in mapping out your path and following through on your goals.
Dual Diagnosis Treatment
Mental health and addiction often go hand-in-hand. Work on both at Sandstone.
If you are struggling with mental health or behavioral disorders such as depression, anxiety, or personality disorders, it may be tempting to turn to drug and alcohol use as a way to numb your emotions. Our clinical team focuses on helping you and your family identify and improve these concerns.

The mental health program may be appropriate for a young adult who is using substances to cope with their mental health issues. If substance use continues to be the primary issue being addressed, then a SUD program may be the correct care and a referral will be made.
Our young adult (18-30), Mental Health IOP is a comprehensive, collaborative outpatient program that meets 4 times a week for 3 hours a day. Our intimate, small groups focus on a well-balanced recovery, utilizing weekly multifamily group, academic/vocation “adulting” skill building 2 times weekly; specialized group therapy led by licensed clinicians and medical providers who are available to meet participants for medication management and collaborate weekly with each clinician. Clinical groups are a combination of skills-based programs emphasizing the use of DBT and CBT, and person-centered process groups for individuals experiencing mental health problems such as depression, anxiety, suicidal ideation, and previous trauma.
Family plays a vital role in the overall wellness of each individual served. Individual family sessions are offered bi-weekly to examine the role the family plays in creating new patterns of behavior and changing old behavior that reinforced negative behaviors. Connection is key in recovery. Our program also utilizes weekly Multi-Family group to reinforce new skills being learned in groups, as well as a source of support and guidance.
The young adult mental health program runs from 9am-12pm on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday of each week. In addition, the program provides 2 hours of Academic/Vocational work per week, on Tuesday and Thursday from 1-2pm.
