You have options with Sandstone Care. Choose between our Partial-Hospitalization Program (PHP) and our Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) based on the level of care that best meets your needs and schedule. Both programs employ evidence-based treatments proven to provide long-term results.
PHP patients visit our center multiple days each week for several hours of treatment at a time. Some modalities include group therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), and family therapy. This program provides the intensive support and care that many teens need to overcome their challenges and make positive changes in their lives.
Teens and young adults enrolled in our IOP in Boulder participate in treatment a few times per week for 1-2 hours. Individuals often choose to begin treatment with our PHP and graduate to our IOP when they begin to benefit from less intensive care. This program offers life-changing healing that fits into your regular schedule.

Our Medically-Assisted Detox and Inpatient Center offers private rooms and 24/7 medically supervised care to support a safe recovery from drugs and alcohol, followed by comprehensive treatment that addresses your physical, psychological, emotional, and spiritual needs.
60-90 days of on-site 24/7 treatment.
We offer residential treatment centers designed specifically for teens struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma, substance use, and co-occurring mental health disorders.
We help teens learn healthy coping skills so they can better handle daily challenges. Teens are provided with an intimate, serene environment with smaller group sizes and a focus on strengthening the family unit. Every client gets robust academic support by certified teachers to ensure clients stay up to date on their coursework.

Our Transitional Living Program can be combined with clinical programming to provide a comprehensive treatment experience for our young adult client’s struggling with substance use disorders.
Our homes are for individuals aged 18-30 and help clients establish a supportive community and accountability, while increasing independence and personal responsibility.

Our Teen Young Adult Day Treatment program, also known as Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP), is a highly structured level of care that offers five days of robust programming a week.
Our two distinct mental health and substance use tracks help clients to stabilize, begin to understand their mental health and/or addiction struggles, and heal from them. We strive to help our clients become more like the person they want to be, without using negative coping strategies or substances to get there.

Our Teen & Young Adult IOP, or Intensive Outpatient Program, offers two distinct tracks to address our client’s needs, each track consisting of 3-4 days of weekly programming.
Our mood disorder track we are able to focus on mental health, depression, trauma, and anxiety. Our dual diagnosis track we are able to support client’s with substance use and mental health challenges. Each focuses on developing positive social, academic, and vocational habits while continuing with their job or school responsibilities.

Medication management can be an important part of the treatment process. If medication is recommended, our medication provider will see the client on a regular basis until an ongoing provider is established. If a client has an outside provider and they would like to continue to guide their medication during Sandstone IOP, a release will be required to ensure integrated care.

The mental health program may be appropriate for teens and young adults who are using substances to cope with their mental health issues. Many teens and young adults struggle with substance use and mental health issues simultaneously. If substance abuse continues to be the primary issue being addressed, then an addiction recovery program may be the correct care and a referral will be made.
As a dedicated care provider, our outpatient rehab offers comprehensive support for depression, anxiety, and other conditions. We believe in a well-balanced recovery and provide intimate, small group settings for effective peer support. Our program includes weekly multifamily group sessions, academic/vocational skill building sessions twice a week, and specialized group therapy led by licensed clinicians and medical providers who are available to meet participants for medication management, psychiatric services, and weekly evaluations.

Individual family sessions are offered bi-weekly to examine the family’s role in creating new patterns of behavior and changing old behavior that reinforced negative behaviors. Connection is key in recovery. The family is taken into heavy consideration throughout our case management process. We ensure that family members are informed of all available crisis services. Our program also utilizes weekly multi-family groups to reinforce new skills being learned in groups and as a source of support and guidance.
