We're open for you. COVID-19 Update
Partnering with treatment professionals is a foundational component of our treatment program and is recognized as being critically important to improving continuity of care and ultimately achieving long-term, successful outcomes with our clients. Together we make a real difference in the lives of the clients we work with.
Sandstone Care is led by a highly credentialed team of psychiatrists, clinicians, and other healthcare professionals. We are dedicated to treating young adults and teenagers who struggle with substance abuse, addiction, and co-occurring disorders.
We provide a range of treatment options from full-time to just a few hours a week. Our programs include Medical Detox, Teen Residential, Young Adult Residential, Day Treatment, Intensive Outpatient, and General Outpatient Treatment to help clients get back on track in a very comprehensive way.
We offer regular trainings with professionals in the addiction and mental health field. When possible, we record these trainings, making them available online. Check out our video training library.
At Sandstone Care, we provide evidence-based, age-appropriate, integrated treatment that is customized to the unique needs of each client we serve. Our treatment programs use today’s most effective treatment methods to address not only substance use and addiction, but also underlying mental health concerns or co-occurring disorders.
Before admission, a licensed clinician conducts a comprehensive clinical assessment to determine an appropriate level of care and to begin identifying core aspects of a client’s respective treatment plan. Each client also completes a full psychiatric evaluation with one of our staff psychiatrists and participates in ongoing assessment to ensure clinical focus and progress are well understood.
All of our primary therapists are licensed clinical professionals with significant experience working with both substance abuse and mental health. We also have 2 on-site staff psychiatrists who conduct initial evaluations and provide ongoing medication management and assessment support throughout treatment.
We understand drug and alcohol use and mental health concerns affect many parts of a person’s life. We include a family program, academic and vocational support, and community-based activities to support and promote long-lasting recovery.
Our clinical team works diligently with referring professionals throughout our program to ensure our treatment and continuing care plans are well coordinated and supportive of the client and their family.
Sandstone Care is licensed by the State of Colorado Office of Behavioral health and has been awarded the Gold Seal of Approval by the Joint Commission, the nation’s leading healthcare accrediting organization.
Your client’s decision to join Sandstone Care is very important and will influence the rest of his or her life. We are committed to supporting you, the client, and the client’s family throughout the admission process and beyond.
If you are a treatment professional you can reach out to Marina Vidrine, our outreach ambassador by email [email protected] or calling her at (720) 773-4574.
For a potential client or family member seeking treatment for a loved one, contact our admission teams. The Admissions Team can also verify insurance benefits and discuss any out-of-pocket program cost expectations.
After the initial call with our Admissions Supervisor, we’ll schedule your client for a full clinical assessment with one of our licensed clinicians. This typically occurs on-site at Sandstone Care and takes 60–90 minutes. The assessment clinician will conduct a full bio, psycho, social assessment and collect the following information:
Please note: any out-of-state clients will complete a pre-assessment over the phone, which usually takes 30–60 minutes to confirm appropriateness for our treatment programs.
Following a client’s admission into Sandstone Care, we will contact the referring treatment professional within 72 hours. We’ll ask the client to sign a release of information for his or her outside treatment professionals upon intake. If the client signs the release, our primary therapist will reach out to further discuss the client’s case and provide updates as requested by the referring professional.
Please note that if you do not receive communication from Sandstone Care, it is likely due to the client not signing a release of information. We respect and honor a client’s right to confidentiality; however, we view this as a clinical issue that we will work to address during treatment.
Our goal is to collaborate with you and your client to provide the best care and experience with Sandstone Care.
We welcome your feedback and questions. We look forward to working with you.
We work with most insurance companies. We’re able to verify benefits and estimate program costs prior to admission.
