Sahar’s passion for helping others is evident from her many years of service as a nurse and an EMT. Through these experiences, she learned that there is no greater honor, in terms of a career, than public service. A native of Maryland, Sahar graduated from the University of Maryland with a Bachelor of Science in Public Health and a Bachelor of Science in Family Studies. Shortly thereafter, she became a Registered Nurse. She has over nine years of public health experience, working in a variety of settings, including at an adolescent residential treatment center where she worked with a diverse patient population. She believes a collaborative approach is essential to achieve positive client outcomes. Outside the office, she is committed to volunteering, spending time with family and pets, and attending concerts. She is fluent in Farsi (and speaks a little Spanish) and is always willing to brush up on her language skills over coffee. Sahar believes that coffee can’t solve all problems, but it’s a great start! Sahar is currently the Nurse Lead at the Crownsville location and she is very excited to begin her journey, at Sandstone Care, with a team that shares her mission and values.
