Our Day Treatment program, also known as Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP), is a highly structured level of care with over 35 hours of weekly programming. Here, teens ages 13-18 are able to stabilize and begin understanding their addiction and mental health struggles so they are able to overcome them. We also strive to help these young people become more like the person they want to be, without using substances to get there. Teens in our Day Treatment program participate in one-on-one and group counseling, spend time at the gym, and have time for academic support and vocational planning.
Day Treatment is often the stage in the treatment process which people step down into after wilderness therapy or residential care. Day Treatment provides a high level of care, supervision, and accountability. It does all of these while still allowing clients to live at home or in a sober living environment during the treatment process.
For those 18 and under, the teen day treatment program is over 35 hours a week of structured support. This program includes a heavy academic and vocational component (group vocational support sessions for three days a week), weekly family sessions, six hours per day of group therapy sessions for five days a week, and weekly community activities (sessions at Phoenix Multisport as well as young people’s CA/AA/NA meetings).
Parents are required to attend multi-family group sessions held once a week. There are also weekly individual family support groups available for all family members to attend.
We inspire change by meeting you where you're at. We want to come alongside to support and help you start living the life you want to live.
In our Day Treatment program, most days begin at around noon and end at around 8:00 p.m. We pack in a lot during these days. Here is a sample of what a typical day might look like.
We dig into topics like forgiveness, relationships, and anger during our group therapy sessions.
Our experiential therapy incorporates activities, actions, and movements for therapeutic purposes and include Recreation Therapy, Music Therapy, and Art Therapy.
Our experienced mentors work with you to help prepare you for academic and vocational success.
Each day that we meet, we will gather together to enjoy what you’ve brought for dinner.
Every Wednesday after dinner, we have a couple hours dedicated to counseling both you and your family.
Individual therapy sessions with your primary therapist or family therapist are scheduled during the week based on mutual availability.
All participants will meet with our M.D. psychiatrist for an initial evaluation and on a weekly basis thereafter for ongoing medication management and support.
