Larry Tarnowski is a seasoned Mental Health IOP Therapist for young adults at the Tinley Park facility. He brings extensive expertise and a deep understanding of mental health challenges, armed with a Master’s Degree in Clinical Counseling from Governor’s State University, which he earned in 2007. Larry is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) who specializes in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Psychodynamic therapy. 

Throughout his career, Larry has focused his efforts on assisting young and middle-aged adults, providing them with the tools and strategies they need to navigate complex emotional landscapes. His approach is grounded in kindness and understanding, creating a supportive and non-judgmental space where clients can feel safe to explore their thoughts and feelings. 

Larry is passionate about the transformative power of therapy and cherishes the opportunity to make a significant impact in the lives of his clients. He finds it profoundly rewarding to be part of their journey towards recovery and personal growth. Larry considers it an honor to be trusted with such a crucial role in his clients’ lives, and he is committed to helping them achieve lasting change and wellness. 

Outside the therapy room, Larry enjoys a rich personal life filled with music, gardening, and outdoor activities. He is an avid guitarist and finds music to be a therapeutic and expressive outlet. His love for gardening and spending time outdoors allows him to connect with nature, which he finds both grounding and rejuvenating. 

Larry values the time he spends with his friends and family, believing that these relationships are essential for maintaining his own well-being and happiness. His commitment to his clients and his interests outside of work make him a well-rounded and compassionate therapist, greatly appreciated by both his colleagues and those he serves at Tinley Park.
