Deborah Lawton

Deborah has worked in the mental health field since 2014, primarily as a therapist in Virginia. She is passionate about connecting people with the care that is right for them and making services accessible. To broaden the reach of critical mental health and substance abuse treatment services, Deborah has moved into clinical outreach.

Mental health and substance abuse treatment can be intimidating and uncomfortable, which is why Deborah deeply respects the courage it takes to walk into the therapy room. Asking for help can be a humbling experience. Deborah believes her first job is to understand needs and approach both providers and clients with curiosity and empathy.

Deborah lives in Northern Virginia with her family and 2 hilarious dogs. She enjoys reading, making art, travel and having way too many tabs open on her web browser.
