We focus on helping teens, young adults, and their families build the skills they need to become better versions of themselves. Using various evidence-based therapies, we treat each aspect of drug and alcohol abuse and mental health. We address underlying issues, provide family therapy, and help individuals with community engagement, academics, and vocational support.
We have a variety of different programs available in Maryland for young adults who need help with substance abuse and mental health concerns.
Our Day Treatment, sometimes referred to as Partial Hospitalization, or PHP, program was created for young adults who need a highly structured environment in order to succeed in their recovery. With over 35 hours of clinical programming a week, our program offers a thorough curriculum that spends time focusing on mental, emotional, and physical health and well being to help support achieving sustainable recovery.
For clients who would still benefit from structure but do not require 40 hours a week, we offer an intensive outpatient program, or "IOP". This program provides around 16 hours per week of clinical groups and activities including academic and vocational sessions, group therapy, and experiential activities. This is a longer term program lasting 8-12 weeks.
Our Virtual IOP program offers the same programming, all online. Ideal for those who live too far to drive in, have transportation issues, or health concerns that make in-person treatment challenging. All sessions take place live with master's level therapists providing therapy.
Young adult male clients who would benefit from a stable and supportive living environment while completing one of our outpatient programs are also eligible to stay in our sober living homes. These houses are staffed 24/7 by caring and compassionate individuals who assist clients with creating a daily routine, taking care of themselves, finding a job, and staying sober.
Our holistic day treatment program, also known as Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP), is a highly structured level of care that offers over 35 hours of weekly programming to teens ages 13-17. Teens in this program will be involved in a variety of therapeutic groups and activities including academic assistance, group therapy, and experiential activities. Through the use of a variety of therapeutic methods, we are able to help teens stabilize and begin to understand and heal from their substance abuse and mental health struggles.
For clients under 18, the Teen Intensive Outpatient Treatment Program is a longer term outpatient treatment option. This after school program provides around 16 hours per week of heavy academic and vocational assistance, weekly family sessions, group therapy sessions, and weekly community activities. This program is also offered online -- Virtual IOP: ideal for those who live too far away from our center, have transportation issues, or health concerns that would make in-person treatment challenging.
For teens who require more structure and supervision than an outpatient program can provide, we offer Cascade Canyon Teen Residential. This 30-day program is geared towards teens who are struggling with depression, anxiety, trauma and PTSD, substance abuse, and co-occurring mental health disorders.

We believe in treating the client as a whole person, not just treating their symptoms. In order to make the biggest impact on a client's life, we confront issues that they face, but some are unable to cope with. In addition to various therapeutic modalities, our clients will also engage in the following:
