IOP is a longer-term program lasting 8-12 weeks that allows clients to schedule treatment while maintaining their daily schedules.
The goal of our comprehensive IOP program is to address substance use and addiction along with any underlying co-occurring mental health concerns, such as anxiety and depression, and begin developing good social and vocational habits.
We strive to help young people become more like the person they want to be, without using substances to get there.
Each client receives individual support through bi-weekly sessions with the licensed senior clinician and primary family therapist. All sessions take place live with master’s level therapists providing therapy.
The outpatient program curriculum covers the following topics:
Sandstone Care provides age specific care for those who struggle with substance use, mental health, and co-occurring disorders. We have treatment centers throughout the United States.
Our Young Adult Mental Health Intensive Outpatient Program helps young adults to develop healthy coping mechanisms and understand their mental health struggles, so they can successfully overcome them.
Our program considers one’s emotional, mental, and physical states and the impact that substance use and mental health has on the whole person, as well as the impact it can have on the family
The goal of our comprehensive behavioral health IOP program is to address mental health concerns such as anxiety, trauma, and depression. We strive to help young people become the healthiest version of themselves and become who they want to be.

Our virtual IOP program offers the same programming that we offer in person, all online – this is ideal for those who live too far to drive to an addiction center, have transportation issues, or have health concerns that make in-person treatment challenging.

Parents are required to attend multi-family group therapy sessions held once a week.
There are also weekly individual family support groups available for all family members to attend. Topics covered in group include:

We provide residential treatment centers (RTCs) for teens 13-17 (18 in MD if still in high school) and young adults 18-35, treating mental health challenges including anxiety, depression, trauma, and substance use.
Our teen RTCs treat adolescents in a serene setting with smaller group sizes and a focus on strengthening the family unit. The length of stay is 30-45 days. Our young adult RTC offers young adults a peaceful environment in which they can be treated for mental health challenges. Both RTCs create a distraction-free space for healing, helping clients return to daily life feeling more balanced and well.
4 weeks of on-site day treatment.
Our Teen & Young Adult Day Treatment program, also known as Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP), is a highly structured level of care that offers five days of robust programming a week.
Our mental health and substance use programming helps clients to stabilize, begin to understand their mental health and/or addiction struggles, and heal from them. We strive to help our clients become more like the person they want to be, without using negative coping strategies or substances to get there.
12 weeks of on-site or virtual treatment.
Our Teen & Young Adult IOP, or Intensive Outpatient Program, consists of 3-4 days of weekly programming that treats mental health challenges such as depression, trauma, anxiety, and substance use.
IOP includes individual therapy, group therapy, and family therapy. This flexible treatment option occurs in the evening hours so you can continue meeting your school or work responsibilities while receiving care.
