Depression Treatment

Depression is more than just feeling down for a few days — symptoms are long lasting and can affect you in many ways.

Anxiety & Bi-Polar Treatment

Anxiety disorders are thought patterns of fear, dread, and uneasiness that affect other aspects of your life.

Trauma & PTSD Treatment

Trauma is the emotional response to a specific event like an accident, sexual abuse, or a natural disaster.

ADHD & Borderline Personality Disorder Treatment

ADHD is marked by difficulty focusing, controlling impulsive behaviors, and over-activity.

Our Clients Experience Reduced Levels of Anxiety and Depression

At Sandstone Care, we know disorders like anxiety and depression can have a profound impact on one’s ability to enjoy life. That’s why our treatment programming addresses both addiction and mental health challenges.

In a recent study of people who completed treatment with us, the group reported a 57% decrease in anxiety symptoms. The same group also experienced a 78% decrease in symptoms of depression.

These are life changing numbers for our alumni. And for those experiencing addiction, they can be the difference between relapse and lasting recovery.

FAQs

Got Questions About VIOP?

IOP stands for “Intensive Outpatient Program”. IOP programs are most helpful for young adults who have completed a higher level of care (such as residential treatment) and need to step down, and for young adults who struggle with substance use or mental health concerns but want to limit interrupting school and work. Clients in IOP receive personalized treatment planning, as well as practical advice to improve their well-being including stress-management tools and strategies.

Yes. We have a teen track, which is for teens ages 13-17, and 18 year-olds still in high school, and a young adult track for individuals ages 18-30.

Our clinical team is made up of a group of highly qualified individuals who are all dedicated to helping teens and young adults reclaim their lives. This team includes medical doctors, psychiatrists, licensed therapists, family therapists, and teachers.

Most insurances will provide coverage for online psychotherapy, also known as teletherapy. Please contact our admissions team to complete an Insurance Verification to see if we accept your insurance coverage. If we do not, we may be able to provide you with referrals to find treatment at a recovery center, even if it’s not with us.

Please note that we do not accept Medicare or Medicaid.

Teenagers (13-17, or 18 year-olds and still in high school) and young adults (18-30) are eligible for our virtual IOP programming if they are:

  1. Colorado residents
  2. Experiencing mental health or substance use issues

Please note that while we provide mental health care for disorders such as anxiety, depression, PTSD, and more, we do not currently treat eating disorders.

Pros:

  • Receive mental health services from licensed professionals in the comfort of your home
  • With no commute, transitions between your online therapy appointment and daily activities is smoother
  • Video sessions with therapists can reduce stress during appointments
  • Evidence based treatments such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT) are just as effective in a virtual setting

Cons:

  • Online mental health treatment may not feel as personal as in-person sessions
  • Those with more severe substance abuse or mental health challenges may benefit more from in-person care
  • Our virtual IOP program is not divided by specialties (mental health and substance use/dual-diagnosis)

Our VIOP treatment plan includes 4 days a week of treatment for roughly 12 weeks. Once you’ve successfully completed VIOP, you “step down” into extended outpatient programming which is 2 days a week. Then, when you’re ready, you transition to once-a-week general outpatient programming.

The step-down process exists to ensure your stability as you transition from treatment back to your normal daily life.

In addition to outpatient therapy, Sandstone Care also provides a personalized aftercare plan which connects you with community-based providers and specialists for ongoing support. We help connect you and your family with support through our alumni program and parent support groups.
