Sandstone Care Scholarship

At Sandstone Care we specialize in helping teens, young adults, and their families overcome challenges with substance use, addiction, and mental health conditions. We strive to help and support people through their recovery journey so they can find their way back to living a healthy lifestyle. 

We have created the Sandstone Care Scholarship for current or upcoming undergraduate and graduate students who are dealing with or have dealt with substance use/mental health struggles.

We want to reward you for your continued commitment to recovery because we understand the courage and bravery it takes for young adults to seek help.

Application Process

In order to apply for the Sandstone Care Scholarship, you will need to submit a 1-3 minute video that answers one of the following prompts:

  • How has therapy helped you overcome mental health or addiction challenges?
  • How has focusing on your mental health or substance use recovery journey helped you become a better student?
  • What would you tell a parent who is trying to get their child into mental health or substance use treatment?

How to upload Youtube Video
  • Upload the file to Youtube by clicking the "+ video icon" on the top right corner
  • Add "2025 Sandstone Care Scholarship Application" to the title field
  • Select "No it's not made for kids" under audience
  • Click Next until you see "Visibility" section
  • Select "Unlisted" under save and publish
  • Copy the sharing link and paste it above

Scholarship FAQs

  • Must have personal experience attending therapy.
  • Current college undergraduate, graduate students or high school seniors who will be attending an accredited college, university, or trade school.
  • Must be currently enrolled or in the process of enrolling to college for the 2026 – 2027 academic year.
  • Limited to 1 entry per person.

Please have all applications submitted by May 1st, 2026.

Our judges will review each video and select one winner no later than June 30th, 2026. The winner will be contacted by a Sandstone Care representative shortly after a winner has been selected.

A panel of judges will review all applications to select the scholarship recipient. We will be looking for the following:

  1. Creativity
  2. Originality
  3. Organization
  4. Clear Messaging

Scholarship Amount: $5,000

Only one scholarship will be awarded during 2026 – 2027 school year.
