Pamela’s journey in mental health is marked by her trauma-specific internship working with domestic violence survivors and her venture into experiential therapy, where she gained invaluable experience with an outpatient non-profit focusing on experiential and outdoor-based therapy. Currently, Pamela is enriching her expertise further by working towards her Licensed Addiction Counselor (LAC) certification, having already completed her training for Certified Addiction Specialist (CAS), and is beginning training in Attachment-Based Family Therapy.
With certifications including MA, LPC, and CAS (soon to be LAC), Pamela employs a diverse range of therapeutic modalities such as brief, solution-focused therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and experiential activities. Her expertise lies in aiding teens and families navigating addiction and mental health challenges, though her experience extends to adults, groups, and individuals from varied socio-economic statuses and cultural backgrounds.
Pamela approaches therapy with an optimistic and collaborative mindset, believing firmly that the challenges her clients face are not insurmountable. She is passionate about guiding her clients through growth and learning better ways to navigate their lives, finding profound fulfillment in witnessing their development and resilience.
Outside of her professional life, Pamela is an avid lover of the outdoors, engaging in activities such as snowboarding, rock climbing, bicycling, paddleboarding, and camping. These pursuits not only fuel her passion for adventure but also reflect her belief in the therapeutic power of nature and physical activity.
