Cara DeCarlo, MA

Cara DeCarlo is a dedicated therapist supporting young adults through Sandstone Care’s Partial Hospitalization Program in Richmond, VA. She earned both her bachelor’s in psychology and master’s in counseling from West Virginia University, and she brings experience working with clients of all ages—from young children to adults. Cara primarily uses a Person-Centered approach while incorporating CBT and DBT techniques to meet each client’s unique needs. She is passionate about creating a space that fosters openness, connection, and growth. Outside of work, Cara enjoys spending time outdoors—especially in warm, sunny weather—with her beloved dog Brandy, as well as friends and family in both West Virginia and Virginia.
