How long is medical detox?
Every person Sandstone Care treats is different. While some detox facilities have a set number of days and a detox protocol that is the same for everyone, we tailor our treatment to meet our clients where they are at. The average length of stay is 5-14 days. Some of the factors that impact length of stay are:
What substances from which the client is detoxing
How long the client has been drinking or using drugs
The frequency that the client has been drinking or using drugs
Overall physical and mental health of the client
Underlying medical conditions
