In 2015, over 35,000 residents of the state of Colorado sought treatment for alcohol dependence, with another 51,000 seeking treatment for other substance use disorders.
According to a study conducted by the Colorado Health Institute, the overdose rates in Colorado have risen in every single county in the state, and doubled in Arapahoe county.
Statistics like these can be difficult to read, but despite the disheartening information above, Colorado offers many therapeutic and community resources for those struggling with substance abuse, as well as their families.
