Measurement-Based Care
Client progress is tracked continuously using objective, client-reported data—forming the foundation of every treatment decision.
At Sandstone Care, we back our mental health promises with real data. Our clinicians use Measurement-Based Care (MBC)—the gold standard in behavioral health—to objectively track client progress and ensure our treatment produces results you can trust.

Sandstone Care tracks client-reported symptoms and treatment engagement using four psychometrically validated scales, administered weekly or every other week. Scores are automatically charted in real time within each client's medical record—allowing staff to monitor progress, adjust care as needed, and review data alongside clients to strengthen trust and therapeutic alliance.
The Patient Health Questionnaire-9 measures depressive symptom severity across five levels.
The Generalized Anxiety Disorder-7 Scale measures anxiety severity across four levels.
A strong client-clinician bond is linked to better engagement, greater sense of safety, and improved long-term recovery outcomes. Since Q4 2024, Sandstone has assessed therapeutic alliance weekly across all levels of care using two validated tools, WAI-SR and STAR-P.
The impact that psychotherapy has on all levels of care at Sandstone is paramount to success. Clients at every level of care complete the Working Alliance Scale, Revised (WAI-SR; Munder et al., 2010) on a weekly basis to monitor the developing strength of their therapeutic relationships with the clinical psychotherapy team.
