  • Dianna is a Licensed Professional Counselor and Licensed Addictions Counselor. Dianna has over 20 years of clinical experience working with adolescents and young adults. She earned her Master of Arts degree in Psychology from Regis University. Dianna has worked extensively with individuals struggling with substance use throughout her career. She started her career at Arapahoe House as a Program Manager and most recently, Dianna was the Clinical Director of a Denver-based substance use outpatient program as well as a Denver-based wellness program. Dianna manages the day-to-day clinical and administrative functions and conducts the initial assessments as well as the family orientation sessions.

  • Dr. Braud is a Medical Doctor specializing in Psychiatry. Dr. Braud has 17 years of medical experience working with adolescents and young adults. She earned her Medical Degree from the Louisiana State School of Medicine. Dr. Braud completed her residency in Pediatrics at Oregon Health Sciences University. She also completed an internship at the Menninger Clinic with a focus on Psychiatry. Dr. Braud completed her fellowship in Child Psychiatry at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center. In addition to her specialization in Psychiatry, Dr. Braud is also certified in Functional Medicine. In addition to serving as the Medical Director for Sandstone Care, Dr. Braud also has a private practice. Dr. Braud performs psychiatric assessments and evaluations, manages medication, and collaborates closely with Sandstone Care’s multidisciplinary team during treatment and discharge planning.

  • Dr. William serves as Sandstone Care's staff psychiatrist at our Boulder Location and works closely with our Clinical Director and Medical Director across both locations.  Dr. William received his medical degree from University of Benin College of Medicine. He was Chief Resident at the University at Harlem Hospital Center, College of Physicians & Surgeons of Columbia.  Dr. William is certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. He is a Fellow of the American Psychiatric Association and is Board certified by the American Board of Addiction Medicine (ABAM) and Member of the Colorado Psychiatric Society.

Sterling has worked extensively with dually diagnosed clients, currently working with clients in her private practice and previously having worked at Family Tree Housing and Family Services as a Case Manager, Arapahoe House as a Counselor, Denver Health Outpatient Behavioral Health Services as a Therapist, and various other agencies facilitating outpatient psychotherapy groups focused primarily on substance use. Sterling leads the young adult groups and individual sessions, as well as assists with the initial assessments.

Brannon also currently manages the psychiatric assessment team at St. Anthony’s Hospital and previously facilitated individual and group psychotherapy as a primary therapist in both outpatient and in-patient programs. Brannon leads the adolescent groups and individual sessions, as well as assists with the initial assessments.

He previously worked as a primary therapist at the Center of Recovery in Shreveport, LA, specializing in the treatment of clients with gambling disorder and co-occurring mood and substance use disorders. John is currently a Senior Clinician at Sandstone Care supporting the young adult treatment program at the Denver facility.

Julia has worked extensively with dual-diagnosed clients, currently working with Senate Bill 94 in Adams County and in private practice. She previously worked at Centennial Peaks Hospital as a therapist, at Children's Hospital Colorado in the Emergency Department, and at various other agencies facilitating outpatient psychotherapy groups focused primarily on substance use. Julia co-facilitates the multi-family groups at Sandstone Care and conducts family sessions, as well as assists with the initial assessments.

  • Danielle Hackett is a Licensed Professional Counselor and a Licensed Addiction Counselor.  Danielle has over 10 years of clinical experience working with adolescents and adults throughout her career in a variety of different program settings.  She earned her Master’s in Transpersonal Counseling Psychology with a double concentration in Art therapy and Gestalt Therapy from Naropa University in Boulder, CO and received her Bachelor’s degree from Green Mountain College in Poultney, Vermont where she studied Ecology and Systems Development.    Danielle has worked extensively with Co-Occurring Disorders, Substance Use Disorders, Eating Disorders, Medication Assisted Treatment, Trauma, Child Development, and Complex Trauma.  Prior to joining Sandstone Care, she worked as a clinician at the Harmony Foundation, a residential treatment program in Estes Park, Colorado where she worked with adults struggling with substance use and addiction.  Danielle serves as the Primary Young Adult Clinician at Sandstone Care's Broomfield, CO location.

She is a pursuing her license in the state of Colorado in addition to working on a PhD in International Psychology. She started her career working in community corrections with State and Federal offenders and has worked with dual-diagnosis clients since 2010. She is trained in EMDR and approaches treatment through a general family systems and attachment lens focusing efforts on traumas, co-occurring disorders, and addictions.  Erica is the lead family therapist at Sandstone Care's Broomfield location.

  • Shelli is a Licensed Social Worker and has nearly a decade of experience working with adolescents, young adults, and their families within the mental health and substance abuse realm.  Shelli earned her Master's of Arts in Social Work, with a Clinical Therapy emphasis, from New Mexico Highlands University.  She has worked for a variety of programs including non-profit, community mental health, and substance abuse oriented organizations throughout her career.  Most recently, Shelli was the Family Counselor at Valley Hope Addictions where she ran the residential and outpatient family groups and individual family sessions.  Shelli also works with families, adolescents, and couples through her private practice in south Denver.  At Sandstone Care, Shelli is the Senior Clinician for the Adolescent Program at the Denver location working with both adolescents and their families.

Brittany has worked with children, adolescents, young adults and families who have experienced trauma and have associated mental health and substance use in a variety of contexts for the past several years. Her passion is in conducting high quality assessments to facilitate the utilization of integrative care models that treat the whole person and family system. Brittany manages assessments and intakes and facilitates client transitions into Sandstone Care’s programs.

  • Sara is a Registered Dietitian. Sara has 6 years of experience working with adolescents and young adults. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Food Science and Nutrition/DPD from San Diego State University. She worked as a Registered Dietitian at Eating Recovery Center in Denver for the last five years, and is now working in private practice. Sara is the Vice President of and serves on the Executive Board of the Denver Metro Chapter of the International Association of Eating Disorder Professionals (IAEDP). Sara leads the nutritional component of the program at Sandstone Care. Sara collaborates closely with the multidisciplinary team during treatment and provides nutritional assessments, as needed, for both the young adults and adolescents.

Heidi believes in quality, accessible behavioral health care for all and is passionate about connecting individuals to the services they need to reach their goals of health and recovery. Prior to that, Liam worked as a teacher at Dream Catchers Legacy of Learning.  Liam currently serves as the Academic & Vocational Coordinator at Sandstone Care's Broomfield, CO location.

  • Gretchen is a licensed clinical social worker with experience working with adolescents, adults, and seniors in therapeutic settings. She has training in cognitive behavioral therapy and dialectical behavioral therapy. She received her Master’s degree in clinical social work with a specialization in Mental Health and Loyola University of Chicago. Her clinical experience includes running individual and group therapies at various levels of care. Throughout her experience Gretchen gained valuable experience in a variety of clinical settings. At Advocate Illinois Masonic Hospital, she worked on the crisis team in the ER, performing safety assessments, and referring out where needed. At North Shore Senior Center, she carried a caseload providing supportive counseling individually to seniors and also linked them with necessary community resources. At Compass Health Center, she worked with individuals and groups around issues of anxiety, depression, life transitions, and conflict resolution. As the Academic and Vocational Coordinator at Sandstone Care, Gretchen aims to support students in their academic careers, connect clients to community resources, and add both structure and meaning to their daily routine.

  • Kerry is a Licensed Clinical Social Work and Licensed Addiction Counselor level III, and has over 28 years of clinical experience working with adolescents, young adults, and adults.   She earned her B.S. in Social work at the University of Wyoming-Casper, and her Master’s Degree from the University of Denver.  She began her career at Denver Area Youth Services working across several programs as a Clinician and Program Manager for over 13 years.    She later worked with DOC and Federal Bureau of Prisons clients and parolees for several years; in 2007 she began working for the National Institute for Change as the DUI Program Manager.  Kerry currently serves as the Primary Clinician for the outpatient and relapse prevention groups for both adolescents and young adults at Sandstone Care.

  • Michelle is completing her Masters in Social Work and Animal-Assisted Social Work Certificate at the University of Denver with an anticipated graduation date of June 2017.  Prior to joining the admissions team, Michelle was in an internship position working directly with young adult and adolescent clients and their families by observing and facilitating family programming at Sandstone Care. Prior to this, Michelle worked in a two-year residence for low income, single parent families in Denver assisting with intake, assessments, and programming. In her current role, Michelle performs initial assessment screens, completes insurance verifications, provides ancillary support during the transition into program, and works closely with the intake team.

  • Tracy earned her Master of Arts degree in Educational Psychology at the University of California, Los Angeles, earned her Master’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Denver, and earned her Juris Doctor degree from Boston University.  Prior to joining Sandstone Care, Tracy was the Director of Operations and Business Development at the Newman Center for the Performing Arts, and prior to that, the Executive Vice President, Programming Distribution for TCI. Tracy is also a trained Interventionist and is a Board Member for the National Center for Intervention, Eating Disorder Foundation of Denver, and Harmony’s Development Board. For Sandstone Care, Tracy currently focuses predominantly on partnerships with schools, local medical professionals, and treatment providers within the community.

  • Brianne earned her Masters of Arts in Counseling Psychology from Pacifica Graduate Institute in California. Prior to joining Sandstone Care she worked with families, youth, and adults in different capacities. She worked with adults with co-occurring disorders who faced chronic homelessness in San Francisco, providing group therapy, individual counseling, and case management services. Brianne also provided art and family therapy to families and adolescents who were struggling with trauma through the Youth and Family Services Department of the YMCA. With Sandstone Care, Brianne is part of the Community Outreach team, focusing on partnerships with local private practice therapists, psychiatrists, and educational consultants.
