You Have Treatment Options

Our alcohol and drug rehab in Boulder, CO offers you Partial-Hospitalization Programs (PHP) and Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP) tailored to provide the care you need to heal while living at home. The average length of our young adult and teen substance use treatment is 2-12 weeks, but this can vary from person to person.

In PHP, you will visit the center 3-4 days each week to work with our trained counselors and therapists. Interventions will include cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), family and group therapy, medication management, and community activities.

Our IOP gives you a more flexible schedule without compromising the quality of care. Treatment sessions involve the same methods as our PHP but are held 1-2 days each week for a few hours at a time.

Our Transitional Living Program can be combined with clinical programming to provide a comprehensive treatment experience for our young adult client’s struggling with substance use disorders.

Our Teen Young Adult Day Treatment program, also known as Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP), is a highly structured level of care that offers five days of robust programming a week.

Our two distinct mental health and substance use tracks help clients to stabilize, begin to understand their mental health and/or addiction struggles, and heal from them. We strive to help our clients become more like the person they want to be, without using negative coping strategies or substances to get there.

Our Teen & Young Adult IOP, or Intensive Outpatient Program, offers two distinct tracks to address our client’s needs, each track consisting of 3-4 days of weekly programming.

Our mood disorder track we are able to focus on mental health, depression, trauma, and anxiety. Our dual diagnosis track we are able to support client’s with substance use and mental health challenges. Each focuses on developing positive social, academic, and vocational habits while continuing with their job or school responsibilities.

Every person that Sandstone Care treats is different. While some outpatient rehabilitation centers are one-size-fits-all, we tailor our treatment services to meet our client’s specific needs. The average length of treatment is 2 – 12 weeks. Some of the factors that impact the length of treatment are:

  • What substances you are in addiction recovery from (for example, alcohol addiction)
  • How long you have been drinking or using drugs
  • How frequently you have been drinking or using drugs
  • Your overall physical and mental health, and if you will need mental health treatment
  • Any other underlying health conditions you may have

Once your programming is complete, our Discharge Planners will sit with you to discuss your aftercare options.

While, yes, we are able to prescribe medications, we also recognize that not all situations call for medication-assisted treatment. Our medical team will evaluate your circumstances and determine what type of treatment is appropriate for you.

Loved ones play a vital role in your overall wellness. Individual family therapy sessions are offered bi-weekly to examine the role the family plays in creating new patterns of behavioral health. Our program also utilizes weekly multi-family psychotherapy groups to reinforce new skills and support your family during the rehabilitative care process.
